18th March
Today, after a huge amount of deliberation we have taken the decision to temporarily close the doors of each of our gyms.
Ever since we first opened in that carpark in Holborn it was apparent that the community was going to be the driving force in making Gymbox successful. Therefore, it is our responsibility to ensure their health and wellbeing comes before every business decision we make. So even though the Government has not currently mandated closing gyms, we will be temporarily closing at 23:00 Wednesday 18th March.
We truly know how much a part of your life fitness and wellness is and having this taken away suddenly will be hugely upsetting. But we will get through this, like every champion that gets knocked down we will get back up, dust ourselves down and get moving again.
FAQs
What will happen with my membership during the closure?
For as long as our clubs are closed there will be a FREE FREEZE on all monthly memberships. To confirm no payments will be taken for April and any future months we are closed. The time lost from the 19th to 31st March will be credited back to the end of your minimum commitment period. If you’re out of your minimum commitment period the time lost in March will be added to your first month back once clubs re open.
How long will my Gymbox be closed for?
We will be following the Government’s recommendation on when it is safe to reopen as and when the virus is under control. We will of course be updating you regularly through email and social channels.
How will I keep moving now my Gymbox is temporally out of action?
We will be releasing content through our Instagram channel to keep you both moving and entertained, please remember to check in daily.
I have further questions?
Our teams will still be working remotely during this period so any questions you can contact us through member services.
Please everyone stay safe, follow the correct guidelines and look after loved ones.
